Wedding to Do List

While the thought of all the things you need to do to plan your wedding may seem never-ending and daunting, try to enjoy this time, preparing for one of the most special days of your life.  We have laid out some of the items on your to-do list to help you focus on where to begin!

12 Months

Vision: The first step to planning your dream day is to think about what you want your wedding to be. Do you want there to be 20 guests or 200 guests? Do some research and find some inspiration photos to help guide you!

9-12 Months

Pick wedding date & venue: Visit sites either virtually or in-person that match your budget and style. Talk through with your planner and family members to see what dates would be ideal for the wedding, and select a venue that meets all your needs.

Research and book vendors: Work with your planner to find the best vendors for your wedding day! Take this time to select a few from each category, compare their services and prices, and book the ones you love the most.

9 Months

Pick the wedding party: Talk with your fiancé and decide who to include in this part of your wedding day. Reach out to these members to consult with them on bridal showers, trips, and attire details.

Select a wedding dress: Gather your bridal party and find your perfect dress! Make sure to allow time for alterations if needed.

Guestlist: Work with your fiancé to determine your guest list, and make sure to include plus ones and children, if applicable.

3-6 Months

Vendor Appointments: Book appointments with your caterer to taste your menu, your rental showroom to select your tabletop items, your florist, photographer, bakery, and other vendors as necessary. Make final decisions on menus and other selections.

Wedding Weekend Activities: Finalize the details for any wedding weekend activities such as a welcome party, rehearsal dinner, after-party, or brunch.

1 Month

Figure out décor: Finalize your décor selections and make sure everything is purchased. If your venue is not local, determine how to get the décor items to the wedding venue in time.

Seating chart: Finalize your seating arrangements based on your final RSVPs. Provide this information to your planner and caterer.

1 Week

Finalize details with coordinator: Button up any loose details with your planner. Getting all the details covered a few days ahead of time ensures that you can sit back and enjoy your wedding day stress-free!

Wedding rehearsal: Complete your wedding ceremony rehearsal, so you’re all set for the big day tomorrow!
