Friends of Milestone Events:

By now you’ve undoubtedly seen the news regarding the Sonoma and Napa County fires. While some of us here at Milestone Events have suffered the loss of homes, we are enormously gratified that all our team are safe and accounted for. Many thanks to our clients, friends, and families who have called to check in.

We’ve spent the last 24 hours connecting with our winery partners and vendors, and wanted to provide you with a quick sense of where things currently stand.

First and foremost, all 16 of our winery and event partners have avoided any structural damage. Clearly many Sonoma and Napa County wineries haven’t been so fortunate, and our hearts go out to them.

As a tourist destination with over 6,500 hotel rooms and an equal number of rental homes and properties, two hotels that serve our region were lost and with them about 500 rooms.

While our wineries and most hotels remain intact and unscathed, some of the surrounding areas have been burned. But just as autumnal grassfires can be part of the California landscape, so too is the rebirth that comes with winter and spring. Our hearts will be lighter seeing the fire-ravaged hills of Sonoma and Napa bursting forth with the wildflowers and grasses that provide such an unmatched backdrop for weddings in Wine Country.

If you would like to help California’s Wine Country, you can donate to the Redwood Empire Food Bank which is currently providing food to shelters for those displaced by fires. To aid relief efforts and assist victims of the fires, Redwood Credit Union Relief Fund is accepting financial donations. 100% of your donation will go directly to support those affected by the fires.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.

All our best,

Your Milestone Events Team
